Version 2.1.1 — September 2026
⏱️ Passage times you can rely on
Three improvements to the estimates at aid stations, cutoffs and the finish. The real start: the warm-up and a watch left paused before the gun no longer count — pace is measured from the first 300 metres of the course, and the race time shown on the runner's card and in the leaderboard starts at the start (the time entered in the race plan if you filled it in). Fatigue: the app now knows that a runner slows down with the kilometres; its fatigue law was calibrated on the 6,179 runners of the seven Grand Raid des Pyrénées 2026 races and checked on real tracks — the error on the finish time is almost halved. The final ranking uses race time, not the watch timer.
📡 Your runner's state at a glance
A new line on each runner's card says what is really going on: ⏸ Stopped for 12 min (orange, then red beyond 30 minutes), 🍰 At aid station for 8 min when the stop falls on an aid station of the plan, 🏁 At the finish. And when the runner's phone goes quiet — no coverage, flat battery — 📡 No news for 20 min · estimated at 19.6 km: the app moves them forward by dead reckoning from their last point, their passage times stay right and show with a "≈". If they still have not passed the next point fifteen minutes after the estimated time: ⚠️ Overdue at the next point by 20 min, in red. Built-in caution: a runner who goes quiet at an aid station is not declared overdue — nobody knows whether they have left.
⚙️ And also
- A runner who reappears far along the course after a long silence is re-attached to the track (they stayed frozen, with a wrong ranking until the finish).
- The progress bar no longer empties after some reloads: fixed.
- Leaderboard: no more "+55'60"" gap.
- A runner from another race who brushes past the start area is no longer attached to your course.
- COROS: the position share by SMS or email ("X is sharing their current location…", valid 24 hours after the activity ends) can be followed and relived like a Garmin link. The runner guide now presents the three COROS sharing options.
Version 2.1.0 — September 2026
🏔️ The Topo basemap
A third basemap joins Google Maps and OpenStreetMap: Topo (OpenTopoMap), worldwide, with shaded relief, contour lines and trails. In the mountains it is the map everyone expects: the pass your runner is climbing, the descent ahead, all readable at a glance. Pick it in the settings; if its community server does not answer, the app falls back to OpenStreetMap by itself. Weather layers stay easier to read on light basemaps: switch basemaps as needed, your framing is kept.
👥 Your runner list, shared with the crew
No more retyping the same links on every phone. From the add-runner window, Share my runner list sends today's list via WhatsApp or email; each crew member opens it in TyT and the runners are added without duplicates, colours included. You can also include it when exporting a course: a question at export time, never by default — a GPX meant to be passed around does not carry your live links.
🎬 A livelier Relive
New 10 s Flash format to share the race in one breath, with a fixed frame over the whole course. Three basemaps for the video — Voyager, OpenStreetMap and OpenTopoMap, relief included in the mountains — a thicker track and kilometre markers just like on the live map.
⚙️ And also
- The course elevation gain shows next to its distance as soon as the GPX is loaded.
- COROS "live tracking" link: the app warns when adding it that it expires 30 minutes after the finish; the received track is kept.
- An expired link says so clearly when added, and a dead link no longer blocks the refresh of the other runners.
- Switching basemaps keeps your framing.
- Relive video: no more flickering runner and timer on Voyager, softened buildings and preserved relief on OpenTopoMap.
Version 2.0.1 — August 2026
⏱️ Passage times that know the mountains
The estimation engine has been rebuilt from the ground up — and benchmarked on real races. It now understands the course profile (a climb costs its price, a 30% wall even more, a descent pays back), the aid-station stops from your race plan, and even the heat expected at passage time. The result: steady, dependable arrival times — the estimate only moves when something truly changed. And in the Passages tab, the finish line and its closing time now end the table: "what time does he finish?" finally has a live answer.
🔭 Rain at the time they'll be there
A first-of-its-kind crossover: the app reads the forecast at your runner's estimated passage time for every point ahead. "Rain expected as they pass between km 38 and 45 (from ~2:30 pm)" — and if the shower will be gone by the time they arrive, it won't bother you. Select a runner and the whole weather view adopts their standpoint: banner with their name, alerts ahead of them only, temperatures "over the next 20 km".
🌧️ Rain callouts true to the radar layer
Radar callouts now match exactly the colors of the layer: "Light to heavy rain between km 76 and 129", downpours flagged separately — and the radar refreshes the minute a new frame exists, with the frame time shown on the banner.
⚙️ Also in this release
- New point type in the editor: the checkpoint 🚩 (control without aid).
- The editor now warns before leaving with unsaved changes.
- Adding a runner is now instant: loading continues in the background.
- Stronger relief shading and direct sharing restored on the Relive video.
- In "My courses", race GPX files show in red.
- Compatibility restored after an August 27 change in Garmin LiveTrack.
Version 2.0.0 — August 2026
🗺️ The course editor
The headline feature of this release: prepare the race directly on your GPX, no computer needed. Add aid stations 🍰, water points 💧, life bases 🏠 and checkpoints 🚩 in seconds, each at its kilometer — the app places them on the track for you. Enter time cutoffs as real dates and times (no more "day 1 / day 2" headaches on overnight races) plus the start time. Delayed start? Enter the offset: every cutoff shifts at once, nothing to rewrite. Organizer's GPX cluttered with waypoints? A category cleanup sorts it out.
📤 One prepared course for the whole crew
The Export button produces an enriched GPX carrying all your edits. Send it over WhatsApp or email: every crew member opens it straight into TyT and gets aid stations, cutoffs and times identical to yours — one person prepares, the whole team follows.
⏱️ Cutoff margins and passage times
With a race plan set, each runner's card shows the next point and its cutoff margin, in green, orange or red — "expected 11:15, −4 min".
📍 The Passages tab: your checkpoint station
In the leaderboard screen, a second tab lists every point of the race plan. Tap one: runners already through with their real time, then those still coming with their ETA and cutoff margin.
🌦️ Weather in two registers: measured and forecast
The weather banner becomes two banners: "📡 measured" — what radar and stations observe right now — and "forecast" — what the model anticipates. Each collapses into a discreet chip that keeps its alert color: a clear map without losing the signal.
🎬 Relive becomes a video
No more screen recording: "Start the Relive" now generates the race video directly — vertical format ready for social media, named summits and passes on the map, highlights, and a final card in the runner's colors. Three formats (full, 60 s, or 30 s tuned for Strava), a privacy trim for start and finish, then Share or Save — the video goes to WhatsApp, Strava or TikTok in two taps.
⚙️ Also in this release
- Reliable startup: no more hanging at launch with a saved session.
- Instant switching between coach view and a runner, even with weather on.
- Relive: watch or computed elevation gain, your pick in the chips.
- Sharper mountain temperatures: station calibration is now altitude-aware, summits included.
Version 1.9.0 — August 2026
🌬️ Live wind on the map
New wind layer: animated particles show the flow — direction and strength at a glance, colored by speed. Headwinds, crosswinds, valley corridors: precious for cycling, and for anticipating an exposed ridge on a trail. Coverage across Europe, North America and Réunion (NOAA GFS models, refined by Météo-France AROME over France), with live-adjustable opacity.
🎞️ Rain radar animation
"Is that front coming towards us or moving away?" A new button loops the last hour of rain on the map — the path of the showers becomes obvious.
📍 Weather alerts now show on the map
When a station measures rain or gusts near the course, the alert no longer stays in the banner: a marker lands at the exact spot (weather station, rain cell), and tapping the banner takes you straight there. Details are spelled out: "Measured rain · Loudervielle (9.9 km) · 0.5 mm / 30 min".
🧭 Scout mode: weather for you
No runner or course needed anymore: enable your position and rain, wind and current conditions appear around you — perfect for planning your own ride or run. And with a course loaded, a selector on your card switches between the course weather and yours.
🎭 Your marker, your style
Pick the emoji (or a letter) and the color of your marker on the map — 32 shades, with a live preview in the settings.
⚙️ Also
- Settings reorganized into collapsible categories, with dedicated switches for the rain and wind layers.
- Lower mobile data usage: finished trackings are no longer re-downloaded in a loop.
- Weather-station monitoring now covers the whole course, even on very long distances.
Version 1.8.1 — August 2026
🛰️ Supports the new COROS live tracking
COROS launched a new live-sharing system this summer. Track Your Team now supports it: paste your runner's s.coros.com link as before, and get their position second by second, their heart rate and watch metrics (distance, pace, elevation gain, power). The app recognises the link's three states — waiting for the start, live, ended — including trackings scheduled in advance. Older COROS links remain fully supported.
🎬 Relive, ready for social media
- 3 replay formats: ⚡ Strava (under 30 s, overlay framed to survive cropping), 📱 60 s (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) and 🎬 Full.
- Privacy: an option hides 300 m at the start and finish of every trace — share the video without revealing any address. Recap numbers stay complete.
- Immersive full screen: the phone's system bars disappear during the replay — screen recordings come out clean, no clock or battery icons.
- More accurate max speed, taken from the watch when available.
🔧 Reliability
- More dependable framing of short looped courses in Relive.
- Lighter background tracking (a simplified internal computation).
- Expired trackings no longer produce false error messages.
Version 1.8.0 — August 2026
🌧️ Rain radar on the map
A real-time precipitation layer now appears on the map whenever weather is enabled — see at a glance where it's raining, and how hard, around your runners. Coverage across Europe, Canada, Réunion and the United States, with adjustable opacity in the settings.
When a rain cell reaches the course, a "Rain on radar" alert flags it — this is an observation, not a forecast, and it tells you whether the rain is light or heavy.
⚡ Satellite lightning alert
A key addition for the mountains: the app detects lightning strikes observed by satellite and warns you when strikes are spotted near the course or a runner — "Lightning detected ~5 km away", with strikes shown on the map. This alert takes priority: when lightning actually strikes, it comes before everything else.
🌍 Weather observations across Europe
Real measurements (rain that fell, gusts) no longer come from French stations alone: the app now queries the weather networks of many countries — Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, the Nordic countries, the United Kingdom, Portugal, as well as the islands (Canary Islands, Madeira, Azores, Réunion). Enough to follow an ultra abroad with the same precision as at home.
🔔 Tailored weather alerts
- Adjustable rain-probability threshold: on top of intensity (mm/h), choose the probability at which a rain alert appears, and combine both criteria with AND / OR.
- Scrolling banner: when several conditions stack up, the banner cycles through alerts one at a time to stay readable.
- Better anticipation: rain approaching along the course's axis — before the start or beyond the finish — is now detected.
🌥️ Sky in oktas, and words that mean it
Sky conditions are now shown in oktas, aviation-style ("Cloudy 5/8"), alongside the course temperature range. And alert wording says exactly what is known: "…risk" (orange) for a forecast, an assertive message (red) only for an observed fact — weather station, radar or lightning. When the banner is red, it's measured.
Radar alerts also got sharper: "Rain on radar" now matches the visible echoes on the map to within ~2 km — including on tightly looped courses.
🎬 Relive: better-framed loops
On a short looped course, the replay now frames the entire loop instead of an overly wide view — the runner stays clearly visible from start to finish. Large courses keep their aerial tracking shot.
Version 1.7.0 — July 2026
🏆 Leaderboard anchored to the course
The leaderboard is now based on each runner's actual position along the GPX route, no longer on their watch distance. No two watches ever measure alike (signal gaps, GPS noise) — the course, however, is the same for everyone: no more unexplained ranking flips.
The display becomes transparent: "27.9 km (⌚ 28.6 km)" — position on the course first, watch distance in parentheses. Runner cards follow the same order as the leaderboard, and the progress bar now shows kilometres covered on the route ("56% · 27.9 / 49.3 km").
🌦️ Next-generation weather
- New forecast engine with fine resolution (1-4 km): terrain is finally resolved — a mountain pass no longer gets the neighbouring valley's temperature — and a dedicated thunderstorm probability strengthens ⚡ alerts.
- Corrected by Météo-France stations: the app continuously compares forecasts with real measurements from stations around the course and corrects the day's deviation (underestimated heatwave, unusual altitude gradient…).
- Measured alerts: rain that actually fell and gusts actually recorded at nearby stations (data just minutes old) — ground truth, alongside the forecasts.
- Anticipation even without a route: a runner tracked without a GPX now also benefits from wind-driven rain detection.
🎬 A fairer Relive, everywhere
- Reliable elevations: the Relive's highest point and elevation gain come from the GPX route, or from terrain data (elevation model) without a route — no more capricious watch barometers inventing summits.
- Real overtakes only: killcams now show only crossings that actually happened during the race.
- Available without a route: a 🎬 button appears on each finished runner's card — no leaderboard (or GPX) needed to replay their race.
Version 1.6.0 — July 2026
💎 Pro mode
Track Your Team remains free to follow 2 runners. The new Pro mode unlocks tracking of 30 simultaneous runners — a one-time purchase, no subscription and no account, true to the app's spirit. The purchase is tied to your Google account and restores automatically ("Restore purchases" button in the settings).
🎬 Relive: replay the race
New 🎬 button in the leaderboard for every finished runner: an animated replay of their race (~90 seconds, vertical format designed for social media). The camera follows the runner over a terrain map, all other runners stay visible, and the highlights are staged: highest point, max speed, and ⚔️ killcams for every overtake. Final recap with distance, elevation gain, time and stats.
Tip: start your phone's screen recorder before the replay, then share the video!
🏁 Finish-line ranking
Finished runners are now ranked by their race time (no more GPS noise in the finishing order). A runner who covered less than 95% of the route is shown as "not classified" — with a Reclassify button if the race was diverted or shortened.
📍 Usability
Larger tap targets on map markers (aid stations, weather) — opening a tooltip with a fingertip becomes reliable, even on the move.
Version 1.5.0 — July 2026
🏆 Live leaderboard
New podium button on the map: open the real-time leaderboard of all your runners, motorsport-style. Rank, gap to the leader or interval to the runner ahead (in time and distance), each runner's distance covered, and the leader's race time.
Tap a runner in the leaderboard: the map centers on them and their card opens automatically. Off-track or not-yet-started runners remain visible at the bottom of the list. Requires a loaded GPX route.
🌦️ Even more accurate weather
- Altitude-adjusted temperatures: weather services report the temperature of the nearby valley — Track Your Team now corrects it for the actual altitude of each point of the course. No more 18°C forecasts when it's 12 at the pass.
- Forecasts matched to passage time: the weather shown at each point corresponds to the time your runner will actually be there, at their own pace.
- Visible outage: if weather becomes unavailable (network, quota), a banner tells you clearly — no more misleading "clear conditions".
- Consistent banner even with no runner selected, always up-to-date markers, point altitude shown in tooltips.
⛅ Customizable weather alerts
Alert thresholds can now be set in the app settings: heat (28°C by default), cold (5°C), wind (40 km/h) and rain (0.5 mm/h). Adapt them to the season, the course profile or your runners' sensitivity — the display updates instantly.
🟠 Strava Beacon support
Track Your Team now supports Strava Beacon: follow your Strava-equipped runners live, exactly like Garmin and COROS. The runner enables Beacon in the Strava app (iPhone or Apple Watch); a link is sent to them by SMS, which the coach pastes into Track Your Team.
Real-time position, track, distance, elevation gain and progress along the GPX route — just like the other sources. Three live sources are now available: Garmin LiveTrack, COROS and Strava Beacon.
🥤 Clearer waypoints
On races where several aid stations and time barriers share the same spot (loop courses), a badge shows their count and a summary table opens on tap: each aid station with its time barrier, start first, finish last. Progress and off-track detection are also more reliable on loop courses and self-crossing routes.
🧹 Under the hood
Major code cleanup (stronger typing), better resilience to network micro-outages (a runner's data is no longer lost during a failed refresh), plus various fixes.
Version 1.3.1 — June 2026
⛰️ Elevation gain (D+) matching Garmin Connect
Elevation gain is now computed with a new "valley-to-peak" algorithm, the same principle GPS watches use. Values match the official Garmin Connect figures, for every source (Garmin, COROS, GPX) — no more underestimated elevation.
📱 Wi-Fi tablet support
The app is now visible and installable on tablets without a GPS chip (Xiaomi Pad, Samsung Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi…). An External GPS option in the settings lets you enable coach mode with a Bluetooth GPS receiver.
🧭 Auto-north button
A new compass button lets you choose whether the map re-orients to north after a rotation. Disable it to freely align the map with the race direction. The default state of the map buttons (centering, zoom, north) can be saved in the settings.
🌦️ Smarter weather
- Route reconnaissance: load a GPX without a runner to preview the weather across the whole track (perfect the day before a race).
- Forecasts at real pace: alerts ("rain at km 32 in ~50 min") account for each runner's average speed, instead of a fixed estimate.
- More stable and readable weather banner and markers, heat alert threshold lowered to 28°C / 82°F.
