Tracked runner data (from Garmin or COROS)
The App retrieves the following data from Garmin servers (via the public LiveTrack API) or COROS servers (via Safety Alerts):
- GPS position (latitude, longitude)
- Altitude
- Speed
- Heart rate (if available)
- Track point timestamps
- Activity status (in progress, completed)
This data is processed in real time and stored only on your device during the session. It is never transmitted to third-party servers by the App.
Data NOT collected
The App does not collect:
- User accounts (no registration, no login)
- Advertising identifiers
- Analytics or telemetry data
- Cookies
- Personal data transmitted to third parties for commercial purposes
Track Your Team does not have any backend server. All data stays on your device. The only network connections made are to Garmin and COROS servers to retrieve tracking data, to Google Maps for map display, and to WeatherAPI.com for weather forecasts (only if weather is enabled).

Legal basis for processing
Data processing is based on the following legal grounds:
- Consent: Activating coach mode (geolocation) is voluntary and requires your explicit permission via the device's system prompt.
- Legitimate interest: Processing LiveTrack URLs and runner names is necessary for the App to function and corresponds to the expected use by the user.
Data retention
Data is stored locally on your device as long as the App is installed. It is deleted:
- Automatically at the end of each session (real-time GPS positions)
- Manually via the "Reset Runners" function in settings
- Completely when uninstalling the App
Your rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access: All your data is stored locally on your device and directly accessible within the App.
- Right to rectification: You can modify runner names and URLs at any time.
- Right to erasure: You can delete your data via the App settings or by uninstalling it.
- Right to portability: GPX files can be freely exported/imported.
- Right to object: You can disable coach mode (geolocation) at any time.

Security
The App implements the following measures to protect your data:
- No transmission of personal data to proprietary servers
- Local storage only (AsyncStorage encrypted by the operating system)
- Communications with Garmin, COROS, Google Maps and WeatherAPI.com via secure connections (HTTPS)
- No background data collection without explicit activation of coach mode
Children
The App is not specifically aimed at children and does not knowingly collect personal data from persons under the age of 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the App, please note that all data is local and can be deleted by uninstalling the App.
